So Long Thomas From Sally: Pierson Fode And Courtney Hope On His Exit

Fans were shocked when news of Pierson Fode’s exit from The Bold and the Beautiful broke this week. However, he recently took to social media to explain his decision.

His leading lady, Courtney Hope (Sally), also expressed her feelings about her on-screen beau’s exit, and Soap Hub has the details on what they said!

Ta-Ta, Thomas
“The decision to say goodbye…didn’t come easily but with sleepless nights and countless questions…ultimately, I have to go where my heart leads me,” Fode wrote on Instagram. (For the full statement see below.)

Sad Sally
“The time has come to say goodbye to working with one of my best friends,” Hope wrote on social media.

“I couldn’t be more grateful for you helping me start my new journey on @boldandbeautifulcbs and grow memories and a friendship that will last a lifetime. I wish you the best of luk @piersonfode in all you do and truly hope we get the opportunity to work together again someday…#Tally”

The Future
It remains to be seen if B&B will recast the role of Thomas or if the show will take Sally in a new direction, say, a triangle with Liam (who’s been sympathetic to Sally’s plight) and her rival Steffy.

The decision to say goodbye to @boldandbeautifulcbs didn’t come easily but with sleepless nights and countless questions. What a surreal experience to have but ultimately I have to go where my heart leads me. It’s what we all have to do. I can’t be more thankful to have had a boss like @bradbell who understood and encouraged my decision to explore. Thank you to every hard working soul at @cbsdaytime and bold who let me work beside you. And thank you to all the fans that not only accepted me but championed me through my time on the show. At some point I will likely have to pass the baton of Thomas to another hideous looking guy;) but when the time comes for him to step into my shoes, I hope my performance will haunt him for the rest of his life.
