Peloton Commercial Star Monica Ruiz Joins The Bold and the Beautiful

Monica Ruiz, the actress who is appearing in an ad for a Peloton spinning bicycle, has received some media attention from viewers who are weighing in on the televised ad. Now, there’s more to talk about her because the actress has landed a gig on The Bold and the Beautiful.

The Fashion Crowd Welcomes Monica Ruiz

According to CBS Soaps In Depth, Ruiz is going to guest on the half-hour soap. This isn’t the first time that BB has hired a social media and commercial sensation. Earlier this year, the show cast Kelleth Cuthbert, the model who became an overnight sensation after modeling Fiji water at the Golden Globes.

No word on who Ruiz will be playing, but it won’t be surprising to see the actress/model pop up at Forrester Creations as a model. Her other TV credits include roles on Baby Daddy, The Exes, and About A Boy, on which she played a character named “Hot Woman.” In real life, she’s wed to Christopher O’Malley and the couple has two children.

As BB is set in L.A., the show has always been able to cast guest stars and have their appearance on the show be realistic. Model and TV commercial star Fabio, TV legends Steve Allen and Jayne Meadows, and film star Charlton Heston have all appeared on the half-hour sudser.

Time will tell if Ruiz’s role turns into something regular or will be a one-shot gig (or something in between). She’s taped her BB scenes already and they’ll air in 2020.

BB’s not the only gig Ruiz has landed since her bike ad first appeared. Movie star Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) gave Ruiz a job in an ad for his product Aviation Gin.

In the spot, Ruiz sits at a bar with two friends. She says, “This gin is really smooth.” The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
