Some of your favorite soap opera stars are celebrating birthdays in July. Soap Hub has compiled all the dates, so you can send the actors and actresses you love very best wishes via Twitter and Instagram. Or you could go the old-fashioned route and mail them an actual card.
Hunter Tylo (Taylor, The Bold and the Beautiful) kicks off this month’s celebrating on July 3. The actress turns 58. Independence Day isn’t the only thing to commemorate on July 4. It’s also the day General Hospital’s Josh Swickard (Chase) turns 28.
Next up on the cake and candles list is Days of our Lives’ Suzanne Rogers (Maggie), who celebrates #77 on July 9. The very next day, July 10, GH’s Haley Pullos (Molly) turns 22.
A couple of DAYS leading ladies are joining in on the revelry, too. Susan Seaforth Hayes (Julie) turns 77 on July 11. Co-star Judi Evans (Adrienne), who’s recovering from COVID-19, turns 56 on July 12.
Over at GH, Drew Cheetwood, who plays Milo, turns 37 on July 14. Meanwhile, it’s a milestone birthday for Camila Banus (Gabi, Days). The actress is leaving her twenties behind and turning 30.
DAYS vet John Aniston (Victor) will be blowing out 87 candles on July 24. He shares his special day with former castmate Lucas Adams (ex-Tripp), who turns 27.
Two lovely leading ladies will be toasting birthdays on July 25. Linsey Godfrey (Sarah, DAYS) celebrates #32, while the forever young Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke, The Bold and the Beautiful) turns 59.
There’s a triple reason to party on July 27. DAYS’ Eric Martsolf (Brady) turns 49, co-star Martha Madison (Belle) turns 43 while daytime’s biggest little star, Henry Joseph Samiri (Douglas, BB), turns 7.
As the month comes to a close, Bryan R. Dattilo (Lucas, DAYS) celebrates his special day. The actor turns 49 on July 29, while Wally Kurth (Justin, DAYS; Ned, GH) turns 62 on July 31.
Soap opera began in the early 1900s, as radio broadcasts. Soap companies were behind the conception of the daytime dramas because they wanted to sell soaps to stay-at-home-moms. They did their job and also launched a lifelong programming format, the soap operas.
Spanning more than five decades, American sudsers have seen the rise and fall of daytime soaps. In the heyday of soaps in the early 1980s, there were up to 13 different soap operas broadcasted. However, over the years, the number has declined. Currently, there are only four American soap operas on the air.
The four remaining soap operas currently on the air include Days of our Lives, The Young and the Restless (YR), General Hospital (GH), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). Check your local listings for air times.
