Is The Bold and the Beautiful going to be the first daytime drama to go back into production following all four soap operas shutting down in March due to the coronavirus? Katherine Kelly Lang did an Instagram live chat with followers and said that BB might be going back to work next week!
The Bold and the Beautiful Making A Bold Return?
Last night, Lang did a live Q&A with fans who asked her a lot of questions about the show, getting back to work, and a variety of other topics. Lang was mum on storyline spoilers, but she did address the show returning to production so new episodes can be aired.
The story’s not on her feed anymore, but Soap Hub saw most of it and Lang had a great deal to say. For starters, she said that the soap is on track to get back into the studio next week.
A Different Life For Booke On Set?
Asked if the coronavirus will be incorporated into the show, Lang said that she didn’t think so — especially not right away, noting that The Bold and the Beautiful still had plenty of scripts written before the shutdown started and those don’t make any reference to the coronavirus.
Katherine Kelly Lang also theorized that kissing scenes would be a no-no, but that there may be a way to shoot them as if two characters are being intimate.
While The Bold and the Beautiful has been shooting more than one episode a day in order to save on production costs for years now, Lang says when the show starts up it will complete a single show each day and eventually work up to doing more.
Other Katherine Kelly Lang News
The actress also shared she shot a video on Zoom with some of the show’s other original cast members including John McCook (Eric) but she wasn’t sure if fans in the United States would be able to see it as it was set to air in Italy where BB enjoys immense popularity.
BB was created by the late William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell. Bradley Bell serves as the show’s executive producer and head writer. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
