Soap Star Adrienne Frantz Hospitalized After Giving Birth to Her Son

Soap veteran Adrienne Frantz, best known to daytime fans as Amber on The Bold and the Beautiful as well as The Young and the Restless, could use some thoughts and prayers from her fans and followers right now. The actress is hospitalized and dealing with complications from having given birth about 10 days ago.

“Ok. I had my wonderful baby on June 19th!” a grateful Frantz posted. “He is fine and home now. I unfortunately am still in the hospital. I had multiple complications. If I could get some prayers today I could really use them! I just want to go home and see my baby!! #inhospital #needprayers.”

This is Frantz’s second child. She and husband Scott Bailey (ex-Sandy, Guiding Light) have a daughter Amélie Irene, 4. Back on June 18, Frantz posted a family photo, sharing it was her last night before going into the hospital to deliver her son.

Today’s update is the first one Frantz has posted since that time. As you can see in the Instagram photo below, the actress is hooked up to an IV. (For those who don’t know, IV stands for intravenous therapy, which delivers fluids directly into a vein.)

Frantz first came to the attention of soap fans as Tiffany on the Aaron Spelling soap Sunset Beach on NBC. She left that show, but was soon scooped up by BB to bring Amber to life. She later left that show and brought the character over to The Young and the Restless. There, her character, among other things, wrote the biography of Katherine Chancellor (the late Jeanne Cooper).

The actress returned to BB and revisited some of her past relationships and created some new ones, too. Amber gave birth to a daughter, Rosie, fathered by Marcus (Texas Battle).
