A longtime soap opera vet revealed a harrowing experience she recently encountered at a local beach. While her family was enjoying the sun and the surf, an unimaginable ordeal unfolded!
The Bold and the Beautiful actress Heather Tom and her husband, James Achor, briefly suffered every parent’s worst nightmare when their son went missing! Even though they were able to find him within minutes, the experience wasn’t to be taken lightly.
Tom, who plays Katie on the half-hour serial, posted on Twitter that she, her husband James, and their son, Zane (ex-Will, B&B) recently went to the beach… and Zane wandered off out of his parents’ eyesight!
Fortunately, Zane was located quickly: He’d gone to a lifeguard station, but according to his mother, the youngster was too timid to ask for help.
Thanks to fellow beach-goers, some of whom notified Tom and Achor that they saw a little boy by himself, little Zane wasn’t missing for very long.
After the reunion, Tom — who, understandably, held onto her son quite tightly — shared her ordeal with her social media followers because she feels they both care about her boy and also to shed light on the plight of any parent who is separated from his or her child for whatever reason.
Tom thanked her followers and shared that, at times, social media can be comforting.
