Longtime soap vet John McCook recently underwent major surgery. The talented star updated fans on his condition and why he is missing in action on his daytime sudser!
McCook, who plays Eric on The Bold and the Beautiful, recently shared on social media that he was undergoing a hip replacement. Now, fans have an update on his condition.
The actor’s wife, Laurette McCook, best known to TV fans for her run on the original Battlestar Galactica series as Cassiopeia, posted a few photos on her Instagram account.
In the first post, she writes about how proud she is of her hubby for entertaining the medical personnel who were making sure McCook’s procedure went well.
And in the second post, Laurette shares a photo of a beautiful flower arrangement sent to John by CBS Daytime.
There’s been no word on how long — if at all — McCook might be missing from the storyline canvas on B&B while he goes through rehab.
It’s possible the show could either do a temporary recast (unlikely) or say that Eric — with or without Quinn (Rena Sofer) — is visiting Forrester International.
One could predict that Eric might be seated behind his desk at Forrester Creations the next time he pops back up on air.
Soap Hub joins McCook’s family, friends, and fans in wishing him a speedy recovery!
The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for airtimes.
