While Rena Sofer’s daytime alter-ego Quinn is known for jewelry design on The Bold and the Beautiful, in real life, the actress is something of an artisan herself. She recently crafted a set of beautiful mugs out of clay that she is going to use to raise money for a worthy cause.
Rena Sofer and Linsey Godfrey: Friends Team Up
In an Instagram post, Sofer tells her followers that her friend and former co-star Linsey Godfrey (ex-Caroline, BB; currently Sarah on Days of our Lives) recently made her and her family a set of “very cool masks.” So, in trade, Sofer promised to make her next auction in support of her “pet charity.”
In the accompanying Instagram video, Sofer, wearing a navy-blue mask that Godfrey made, announced that she would be offering four mugs that she made to raise money for her friend’s favorite charity—INARA, which provides access to life-saving and life-altering medical assistance to children impacted by war.
“While we are all concerned with the virus here in America there are still so many people affected by so many other things worldwide,” Sofer wrote. “@inara does amazing work for people in need.”
The four handmade mugs are part of a set and come in light blue, red, midnight blue, and green, which are displayed close-up in a second video Sofer posted. All the mugs are hand-signed by the actress.
“I am going to auction off four of these mugs that I made,” Sofer says. “My favorite thing about these is that they have a really cool handle, and I really like them. I hope you will help me raise money for a very worthy charity.”
Back on April 15, Sofer showed off more of her DIY skills when she auctioned off a knife she carved out of African mahogany in support of the charities Slaughterhouse Survivors and Road Dogs & Rescue. Sofer hopes the bidding will start at $150 with the auction set to end Friday morning. The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
