Marvel Unveils First Look at Superhero Voiced By B&B’s Diamond White

As many Bold and Beautiful fans know, Diamond White will be pulling double duty, voicing a young black superhero for Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, a new Marvel series, when she’s not busy playing the vivacious and sweet Paris Buckingham.

The Paris actress’s character, 13-year-old Lunella Lafayette, is one of the smartest people in the Marvel universe. She takes on her roller-skating, gadget-wielding superhero alter ego Moon Girl to protect her beloved Lower East Side community.

This week, the Marvel Entertainment Twitter feed gave fans an early look at what to expect from her character, as well as the others from the popular comic books.

“It’s time for a reveal! Say hello to the characters of Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur,” the tweet said, providing a first look at what the images looked like. “Who else is excited about the new series?”

Judging by the number of responses, a lot of people! White’s Twitter feed is blowing up with positive comments from friends and fans, and she can’t wait for the new show, which premieres on Disney Channel this summer, to arrive.

The Story of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur

For those not familiar with the comics, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur follows the adventures of Lunella and her 10-ton T-Rex, Devil Dinosaur, who the 13-year-old genius accidentally brings into present-day New York City via a time vortex. Together, they work to protect the city’s Lower East Side from danger.

Diamond White is clearly thrilled to be voicing the first black young women Marvel/Disney superhero.

Upon seeing the Marvel tweet, White herself wrote, “I’m FULLY FULLY FULLH NOT OK AHH,” and seeing her name on the Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur IMDB page, the actress tweeted, “My first time seeing this and im having a breakdown!”

The show is executive produced by actor Laurence Fishburne, who also voices The Beyonder in the animated show. Other voices are supplied by Libe Barer (Casey) and Fred Tatasciore (Devil Dinosaur). Expect more sneak peeks from Marvel and Diamond White on their social media sites as the summer gets closer.
