Liam and Hope Find Dr. Buckingham But NOT on The Bold and the Beautiful

The fallout from baby Beth being kidnapped on The Bold and the Beautiful last year continues to this day. One dynamic that hasn’t played out is Hope and Liam confronting the man responsible for it all — Dr. Reese Buckingham. Now, a face-to-face “confrontation” is going to finally take place… sort of.

The Bold and the Beautiful Meets Let’s Make A Deal

It won’t be on BB and it won’t be Hope and Liam and Dr. Buckingham seeing each other but rather the trio of performers who play these parts, respectively, Annika Noelle, Scott Clifton, and Wayne Brady will reunite on Let’s Make A Deal, the CBS game show that Brady hosts!

The Let’s Make A Deal episode featuring Clifton and Noelle will air on Thursday, May 21. Brady has a long history with soaps. He has many fond childhood memories of watching daytime dramas with his grandmother. In 2018, Brady was invited to appear on the show, but not just in a cameo or one-day guest spot as many mainstream celebrities have done.

BB cast Brady as Dr. Buckingham, a man who dated Taylor but who also had some serious gambling debts. When his creditors wanted their money and Reese didn’t have enough to cover what was due, he came up with an ingenious and diabolical plan!

It was a crime of opportunity, too. After Hope and Liam planned a brief vacation to Catalina before their baby was due, fate intervened. A storm prevented Liam from getting to the island. Hope, who had arrived earlier, went into early labor. Another woman at the clinic did, too. Her baby died, sadly. Reese took Hope’s healthy baby and lied to her that her infant had died.

As regular viewers recall, Reese dragged his unsuspecting pal Flo (Katrina Bowden) into the mess. He sold the baby to Taylor (Hunter Tylo) to give to Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), a new mother who wanted her daughter Kelly to have a little sister. Eventually, others found out the truth including Thomas (Matthew Atkinson), who kept his mouth shut because he wanted Hope to be his wife and surrogate mom to his motherless son, Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri).

However, Douglas learned the truth and blabbed to Hope that “baby Beth is alive.” While an on-air confrontation between Beth’s parents and the man who kept their daughter from them has yet to play out on BB, viewers will get the next best thing by watching the trio interact on the game show.
