Lawrence Saint-Victor Reveals His Other Bold and the Beautiful Job

Lots of daytime actors like to (unofficially) write or re-write their own dialogue, but on Thursday’s episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Lawrence Saint-Victor got to write not only the words Carter spoke but also everyone else’s on the show!

Lawrence Saint-Victor — A New Role

That’s because the fan-favorite performer was hired to pen the program. “So this happened!!” Saint-Lawrence wrote on social media after the show aired. “An episode that I had the privilege of writing aired today. It was such a wonderful learning experience. Thank you Brad Bell [head writer/executive producer] for giving me the opportunity and to our amazing writers and the entire team for all of your support. #writerslife #boldandbeautiful #grateful.”

Saint-Lawrence has written for the show before; in 2015, he wrote two episodes for the half-hour CBS soap. The actor’s not the only performer on daytime serials to have done double-duty, taking on a role behind the scenes.

When BB began back in 1987, Meg Bennett (ex-Julia, The Young and the Restless) wrote for the show. Cast members Heather Tom (Katie) and Susan Flannery (ex-Stephanie) have directed at BB.

Other daytime stars on other soaps have worked on shows behind the camera. Francesca James (ex-Kitty/ex-Kelly, All My Children) became a director on AMC and later executive produced the show, leading the ABC serial to its 1998 Daytime Emmy win for Outstanding Drama Series. Ellen Wheeler (ex-Marley/ex-Vicky, Another World; ex-Cindy/ex-Karen, AMC) has also directed daytime drama episodes and she became Guiding Light’s executive producer.

Saint-Lawrence’s pals including past and present BB cast members chimed in with support for his accomplishment on social media. Courtney Hope (Sally, YR), Delon de Metz (Zende), Ashley Jones (Bridget), Adam Gregory (ex-Thomas), Tina Huang (Dr. Campbell), and Winsor Harmon (ex-Thorne) congratulated Saint-Lawrence using emoticons and words of praise.

Saint-Lawrence got to write for numerous characters in this episode in addition to his. Other characters who appeared in the episode included Quinn (Rena Sofer), Eric (John McCook), Zoe (Kiara Barnes), Paris (Diamond White), Bill (Don Diamont), Liam (Scott Clifton), Thomas (Matthew Atkinson), and Lt. Baker (Dan Martin).

The episode ended on quite the cliffhanger. A mystery man ordered Liam to hold it right there, telling him that he was gotten! Liam slowly put his hands up, likely assuming that it’s been discovered that he was the one who ran over poor dead Vinny (Joe LoCicero).

Has Lt. Baker already busted Liam or was someone else talking to the Spencer heir? Tune in to find out! The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
