Karla Mosley Is Ready For A ‘Super Long Hiatus’ From The Bold And The Beautiful

The Bold and the Beautiful has commenced its summer hiatus and will return later to production later this summer. However, one cast member has will be taking a much longer break.

Karla Mosley (Maya), who is expecting her first child later this year, took to Instagram to post a video telling her followers she won’t be returning to the show right away when everyone else comes back from vacation.

The actress is calling her time off a “super long hiatus.” Additionally, her video includes a look at the B&B offices where photos of the show’s cast members hang on the wall.

Maya and Rick (Jacob Young) have been on the back burner in recent months and Young was even switched to recurring status with the half-hour soap.

Maya’s been visible at Forrester Creations and viewers have met her cousin Alexander (Adain Bradley). However, there hasn’t been major story for Maya since she and Rick nearly lost custody of their daughter Lizzie when Nicole (Reign Edwards) had second thoughts about giving up parental rights to the baby she carried.

Given its 30-minute nature, characters shift to and from the back burner on B&B all the time. It’s possible that we’ll see Maya and Rick back in the thick of things later on this year!
