Jacob Young Shocked To Hear How His The Bold and the Beautiful Story Ends

It looks like Rick and Maya have split up OFF-screen on The Bold and the Beautiful. And Rick’s portrayer, Jacob Young, let everyone know how he feels about this development!

Earlier this year, Karla Mosley (Maya) went on maternity leave and Jacob Young (Rick) was taken off contract. This led to, naturally, less screen time for the couple.

Recently, Mosley returned to the canvas, but as Rick is still off, the show wrote in that the couple has separated off-screen.

Similar breakups are nothing new to soaps. In 2012, the same happened when Ronn Moss left the show after a 25-year run playing Ridge.

This left Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) without a screen partner. She returned to Los Angeles without her husband, explaining that they’d broken up off camera.

Young weighed in on this development, lamenting that, for now, this means the end of Rick and Maya’s love.

The Emmy-winning actor said working with Mosley has been the highlight of his 21-year career in daytime. He encouraged fans who miss seeing the couple to let their voices be heard.

Rick and Maya’s story was a popular one. After Maya confessed to Rick that she’d withheld her origins from him and shared that she had been born a male named Myron, Rick needed time to figure out how he felt, ultimately deciding that he loved her.
