Bill Spencer is not a man to be trifled with on The Bold and the Beautiful. He argued with his niece once and she fell off a balcony. He decked his son after he wanted his dad to be accountable. Simply put, as the song says: “Don’t mess with Bill!”
Recently, however, viewers saw a tender side in a man who doesn’t usually elicit much sympathy when Bill (Don Diamont) lost custody of his son Will (Finnegan George) to his ex, Will’s mom, Katie (Heather Tom).
Might this turn of events prompt Bill to be a better person so that he can be more involved in his son’s life? Soap Hub asked B&B fans to weigh in on this!
The Good Life
Well, the good news for Bill is that the majority of you, over 52%, says that yes, Bill can change for the better! Perhaps all he needs is the love of a good woman to turn him around.
Could that woman be Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang)? As Brooke herself knows what it’s like to grow up without a dad, she’s hurting for Bill and Will.
No Hope For Bill’s Future
The rest of you, nearly 48%, and let’s face it, that’s pretty much half, don’t think Bill is capable of becoming a good guy.
A partial list of his crimes include blowing up Spectra Fashions with his son Liam (Scott Clifton) still inside the building.
Bill also slept with Liam’s wife Steffy, effectively ruining his son’s marriage. Bill’s actions indirectly have led to his granddaughter Kelly growing up without both parents under one roof.
Time Will Tell
Perhaps Bill will change after reviewing his past. He has the opportunity to be a force for good. While antagonistic characters are a staple on soaps, we can’t help but think that if Bill does change for the better, it may not be a lasting change.
The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
