Last year’s storyline of Zoe losing her pet cat struck a chord among fans who have furry friends that they love. Now, a former cast member of The Bold and the Beautiful is feeling the same pain.
Condolences to Kim Matula
Kim Matula (ex-Hope) shared on her Instagram account some deeply personal news related to a dear, departed pet. “Hi guys,” the actress began. “Clearly I’ve been absent from insta for a while. I’m sorry for ghosting but I just needed to take a little break.
“A week before Thanksgiving, my baby, my Indy, passed away very unexpectedly. I know there are people who won’t understand the depth of this loss and that’s okay. But the bond he and I shared was much deeper than just a pet. He was truly an extension of me. Of my heart. He was my healer, my safe place, and a constant joy in times when it was hard me for me to find any.
“I miss him beyond words and still grieve for him every day. I was really not prepared to lose him. Today is his birthday. He would have been 5. ❤️ I love you, baby boy.”
“Oh no!!” posted Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke), Matula’s former TV mom. “I am so sorry to hear this!! Big hug and kiss!❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
“My sincerest and heartfelt condolences,” posted Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter). BB producer/director Cindy Popp wrote: “I’m so sorry Kim. They really are family. 💔💔” Sympathies also came to Matula from her pal Rumer Willis (Dancing With the Stars). “Sending you so much love,” Willis posted.
Since exiting BB in 2014, Matula has worked regularly on the series LAX to Vegas and UnREAL. Last year, she appeared in the TV-movie Fighting With My Family. Soap Hub sends Matula deepest sympathies at this difficult time. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
