Wayne Brady plays the troubled Dr. Reese Buckingham on The Bold and the Beautiful, but the actor, singer, and comedian has done so much over the course of his very successful career.

In The Beginning
Brady was born in Columbus, Georgia, but grew up in Orlando, Florida. He was raised by his grandmother and his aunt. He then got involved in theater when he was in high school to overcome a stuttering problem and to build confidence. He then decided to pursue performing full-time following high school.
Award Winner
Brady has won five Emmy Awards over the course of his career. He won a Primetime Emmy Award for his work on Whose Line Is It Anyway? in the Outstanding Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Program category.
He has also won two Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Talk Show Host for The Wayne Brady Show, and his work on Let’s Make a Deal won him a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Game Show Host and Outstanding Original Song.
Broadway Star
Along with his television work, Brady is also a star on the stage. He has performed in shows such as Chicago, Rent, Kinky Boots, Merrily We Roll Along, White Rabbit, Red Rabbit, and most recently, Hamilton.
Song Man
Brady has put out two albums over the course of his career. His first album, A Long Time Coming, was released in 2008. His second album, Radio Wayne, came out in 2011 and is made up of children’s songs.
Getting Personal
Brady has been married two times. His first marriage was to Diana Lasso, but they parted ways after two years. He then married dancer Mandi Taketa in 2003 but they divorced in 2008.
