The Bold And The Beautiful scored a casting coup when it hired Rena Sofer as calculating Quinn Fuller. The actress gave the show a shot in the arm in the “calculating diva” department!

Quinn’s machinations are well-documented, but what do you know about Sofer? Read on to learn some interesting data about the on-screen jewelry designer!

California Girl
Sofer is rare in that unlike performers who flock to California to pursue dreams of becoming a performer, she was actually born in the Golden State, the town of Arcadia, to be exact. In 1987, she played the short-term role of Joyce Abernathy on Another World. Then, she joined Loving as Rocky.

You Can Take The Girl Out Of Brooklyn
In 1993, Sofer returned to ABC Daytime to take on the role of Lois Cerullo, a band manager from Brooklyn, who wed Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth), who was moonlighting as singer Eddie Maine.

Life imitated art when Sofer and Kurth wed off-screen. The couple later divorced, but they share a daughter, Rosabel Rosalind Kurth.

You Gotta Have Heart
After ABC serial The City was canceled, the network entertained a soap named Heart & Soul starring Sofer and Kurth as their GH characters. Alas, ABC opted to go with GH spinoff, Port Charles, instead.

Prime Time Credits
When not appearing in daytime, Sofer has popped up on several well-known primetime series including Melrose Place, Seinfeld, Ed, Spin City, Friends, 24, Two And A Half Men, and Once Upon A Time. She also starred in the short-lived series Coupling based on a United Kingdom series.

This Time Around
In 2003, Sofer wed TV director/producer Sanford Bookstaver. The pair later divorced, but announced earlier this year that they were engaged to be married once more! The Bold And The Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
