Fans Take on Spectra with Interesting Results!

Team Spectra is back on the horizon and ready to battle it out with the Forrester Creations gang.

With The Bold and the Beautiful approaching its 30th anniversary, the soap decided to revive the rivalry that had been front and center on the show for decades.

A new Sally Spectra was introduced, her feisty and ambitious great niece as portrayed by Courtney Hope, as well as a posse of supporting players to round out Spectra Fashions and go to battle against Forrester Creations.

Soap Hub asked fans to evaluate the story so far. Namely, share your thoughts on Spectra’s return. Here’s the lowdown…

Let’s Wait and See
Some 37% of fans are taking a wait and see approach, regarding the return of Sally and Company. So far, you’re intrigued by daytime newcomer Courtney Hope as the new Sally and are enjoying veteran Patrika Darbo as her grandmother Shirley.

However, you’re not quite sure where the story is headed. You’re hoping it’s not going to be all slapstick and will contain some meaty drama, too.

Super Excited
The fashion empire’s return has 32% of fans super excited. You’ve missed the sparring and competition between the Forrester and Spectra families and are delighted that it’s finally back.

The new rivalry between Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Sally is just what the soap needs. It reminds you of the old Stephanie and Sally going head-to-head, years ago.

Get ‘Em Out of Town
The new influx of Spectras is not what B&B needs, say 31% of you. In fact, you want the entire group sent packing and shipped out of town. So far, it’s been too campy for your liking; particularly, that food fight between Sally and Steffy. And you’re not seeing any real romantic spark between Sally and Thomas (Pierson Fode). The soap needs to wrap this story up — the sooner, the better.
