Was having Liam pop over to Spectra Fashions to talk to Sally all about getting an interview on The Bold and the Beautiful? Or are writers setting up a potential story in which he becomes romantically involved with his wife Steffy’s rival?
Liam’s (Scott Clifton) motives appear fairly straightforward. He’s supporting Sally because his dad, Bill, is giving the redhead all kinds of hassles, and Liam wants Sally (Courtney Hope) to be treated fairly.
Soap Hub asked B&B fans to weigh in on if they think that something more might be going on. The results may surprise you!
Nice Guys Finish First
A majority of you, 66% to be exact, don’t believe that Liam has any romantic feelings for Sally (even though he’s defending her about as well as Thomas would be doing if he were in town).
This group feels that Liam’s just a decent human being and that’s why he’s fought so hard for Sally, even taking a serious blow to the noggin from his bullying father. (Ouch! I bet Liam wishes that scene had been a fantasy!)
Steffy/Liam/Sally
A solid one third of you, 33% to be specific, are hopeful romantics, going with the choice that Liam’s recent gallant actions on behalf of Sally are because he feels a connection with her.
And, if this is the direction in which B&B goes, won’t it be a fun triangle! Every happy marriage on a soap opera could benefit from some conflict and what better conflict would there be than Liam developing romantic feelings for Steffy’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) nemesis?
“Hello, Steffy”
The original Sally Spectra (Darlene Conley) had a line that she used many times and that was “Hello, Stephanie.” She’d speak with a mixture of honor and envy whenever she’d spy the Forrester matriarch.
The two women were rivals, enemies, in-laws, and eventually, friends. If Liam spends much more time with Sally, we’re going to see the next generation continue that compelling dynamic!
