Hope (Annika Noelle) and Carter’s (Lawrence Saint-Victor) relationship has been filled with ups and downs. After a brief separation, the couple reunited and are engaged. Their engagement wouldn’t have happened without help from Hope’s ex-husband, Liam (Scott Clifton).
When Liam thought he was dying, he encouraged Hope to start a future with Carter. Hope, wanting to honor Liam’s wishes, accepted Carter’s proposal. However, a new twist in Liam’s diagnosis could impact Hope and Carter’s engagement.
Liam and Hope were stunned when Grace (Cassandra Creech) confessed to lying about his brain tumor. Hope was by Liam’s side and listened to his fears as he faced the possibility of death. Hope even contemplated reuniting with Liam upon learning his diagnosis, but he insisted she be with Carter.
Yet, Grace’s revelation changes everything.
Hope and Liam will be reminded of the pain the Buckingham family, including Grace and Reese (Wayne Brady), inflicted on them. This new development will strengthen Hope and Liam’s bond, and make her realize Liam is “the one.”
Although Hope doesn’t want to break Carter’s heart, it’s unfair to marry someone she doesn’t love. Liam is her true love and the one who has her heart. Since Liam isn’t dying, Hope feels this is a sign that they belong together.
After Liam’s ordeal, Hope won’t want to waste another minute. She’ll want to make her reunion with Liam permanent and plan their future together.
While Hope dreams of a reunion with Liam, Carter is planning their wedding. Given Liam’s situation, Carter has been supportive of Hope and Liam’s friendship. However, Liam’s second chance will come at the expense of Carter’s happiness.
