Who’s Responsible for Hope for the Future’s Success on Bold and the Beautiful?

Hope for the Future was on the chopping block. Carter helped bring the line back to life when he stole Forrester Creations. He has grand visions that he believes will make the line successful again. Now, new questions arise about HFTF, including who’s responsible for its success on The Bold and the Beautiful.

What Made HFTF Successful?

It may be a while before B&B viewers see Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) again. Atkinson was removed from the show’s opening credits. The lead designer was once responsible for the success of Hope for the Future. Conversely, Hope (Annika Noelle) often argued with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) that her philanthropic efforts and influence made the line successful.

But she’s without a winning design team. She only has Zende (Delon de Metz), who feels slightly lost about his position with Forrester Creations. Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) has grand visions for the line, which include a sultry lingerie collection. But he doesn’t possess the talent to bring the line back from the dead.

There have been times when Hope’s line started failing because she wasn’t working with Thomas anymore. Is Hope able to lead a line again? She sure doesn’t seem focused on it. Hope would rather spend most of her time with Carter than work.

Time for a Reboot

Hope helped bring the line to fruition, making it successful with her strong vision and ethical choices. Thomas helped take the line to another level. It was finally taken seriously as a couture collection, resulting in massive success. But Thomas wasn’t always the designer of the line.

Hope for the Future was successful in 2014 before Thomas was the lead designer. At the time, Hope became the face and model of the line. Caroline Spencer II (Linsey Godfrey) was the lead designer then. Hope for the Future was also successful when Quinn (Rena Sofer), Wyatt (Darin Brooks), and Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) were involved in the jewelry aspect.

Designers have contributed to HFTF’s success. Over the years, Thomas has been critical to the line’s success. Now, it’s all on Hope and Zende to make it happen. Maybe Hope should remove her face and identity from the line and allow it to speak for itself. Having it undergo a rebranding might help bring the line back to life. Maybe this could give Hope a creative burst of inspiration, which she desperately needs.
