Could fashion spy games be afoot on The Bold and the Beautiful? If you ask R.J. Forrester, the answer is a resounding yes! But that doesn’t mean Ridge and Brooke’s heir apparent has sniffed out a double agent. For as much as he’s accused his cousin Will Spencer of nefarious deeds, that’s yet to be proven. But acknowledging the possibility does open the soap up to a storyline that could catch fire by May sweeps if unleashed.

Key Takeaways

  • Why RJ believes Will is spying on Forrester Creations.
  • The position the feud between the Forresters and Spencers has put Will in.
  • Speculation about a potential plot twist.

R.J. Claims Will Is Secretly Working For Spencer

On Monday, March 16’s episode, RJ (Brayan Nicoletti) was convinced Will (Crew Morrow) knew his parents were going to use Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) designs to launch Logan. He didn’t have proof, but his distaste for his cousin led him to accuse him anyway. Will stood his ground, reminding RJ that Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) pushed Eric out of his own company. That’s how he wound up working for Logan in the first place. But RJ wouldn’t hear it.

Will also explained that his parents’ business is their business. He’s not employed at Spencer Publications, and they don’t run their decisions by him. RJ still wouldn’t hear it. He insisted that Will was “in on it,” and that he needed to be fired so that his grandfather wouldn’t have to see him and be reminded of the Spencers’ duplicity.

But, as Bill (Don Diamont) and Katie (Heather Tom) noted when they were ambushed—by Ridge, Eric, and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang)—at Logan’s launch, Eric was paid for his work. You can’t steal what you bought. Will said this to RJ as well, but that didn’t get through either. When Ridge came back from Spencer, he put Will in the hot seat, too. He didn’t accuse him of corporate espionage, but he did want to know what Will thought about Bill airing the Forresters’ dirty laundry to the press.

Will toed the party line. He mentioned his father’s cutthroat business sense and lamented what this situation has done to Eric. Will made it clear that he didn’t agree with what happened, but he did so in a suspicious cadence. His elevated vocabulary and change of tone suggest he may have only been saying what Ridge wanted to hear.

Will Is Caught Between A Rock And A Hard Place

It was always going to be difficult for Will to be a Spencer in the Forresters’ roost when his mother no longer works for the company. But he’s been determined to make it work. He believes he’s found his place at the fashion house and, put simply, he will not be bullied out of a job. Ridge and Steffy call the shots at the family business. Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) denied Will’s resignation when he tried to leave to give his ex, Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace), space. He’s wanted there.

While Will had started working as an intern to meet women in the fashion industry, his desire to be at FC has evolved. However, the feud between the families could put his job in jeopardy. Katie was concerned he wouldn’t be treated right when she left. Will has also asked if his continued presence would be a problem. Each time, the possibility of mistreatment has been denied. But B&B may test the Forresters’ resolve to be fair to him while this storyline plays out.

Already, Will’s loyalty to FC is being challenged. Being asked by the co-CEO to explain his father’s behavior was wildly inappropriate. As was RJ, a fly-by-night Forrester employee, attempting to fire him when he has no power at the company. Will is also trying to figure things out with Electra. As well as maintain his friendship with Dylan (Sydney Bullock), who’s now working at FC. So he’s in a mess with the Forresters, both professionally and personally. It’s a recipe for drama and likely disaster.

But Could Will Be A Spy?

Will isn’t spying on the Forresters, but that doesn’t mean he won’t in the future. Brooke declared war at Logan’s launch. She insinuated that she would poke and prod at Katie and Bill’s relationship. If she makes good on her threat, the fire she lights beneath their feet could be the very thing that gets Will off the bench.

Brooke may have been talking about interfering in their business, but it’s possible she meant their love as well. Katie has dragged her sister across the coals for her affair with Bill. She’s stated that he’s chosen her now and they’re happy after years of having to heal their broken bond. Katie accusing Brooke of being jealous and upset that Bill has given her a fashion line and no longer wants Brooke has not gone down well with the eldest Logan. She might weaponize her beauty and sensuality to try to prove a point.

If push comes to shove, Will is going to choose his mom. But that doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll be stealing designs for her and turning Logan into this generation’s Spectra. While he could, it’s also possible he’d rather sabotage Brooke specifically by letting the cat out of the bag if she crosses the line. He wants his parents together, and he doesn’t want anyone rocking that boat.

Will’s placement at Forrester leaves him vulnerable to being maligned, but it also makes him an asset. The Spencers may use that to their advantage in the feud that’s ignited between the families.
