On The Bold and the Beautiful, the drama is never dull, but Eric might just be ready to blow up everyone’slives—including his own. While Ridge insists he’s moved on from Brooke and is happy with Taylor (this week, anyway), dear old Dad isn’t buying it. Eric has been laying it on thick, practically begging Ridge to reclaim his so-called “destiny” with Brooke. But let’s stop and ask the real question here: If Eric loves Brooke so much, why doesn’t he make a move?
Is Eric Eyeing Brooke for Himself?
Let’s not forget that Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) was Eric’s (John McCook) wife first. He didn’t just admire her from afar; he walked her down the aisle long before Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) started calling her “his forever.” Eric’s not just Team Brooke, he’s the founding member of the fan club. So why is he playing Cupid when he could be making a play for her himself?

Just picture this: the trio take off for Italy and while there, Eric fully intends to push Ridge and Brooke together as much as possible, but Ridge isn’t playing the game. Over and over he’ll leave Brooke in the dust. While everyone assumes she’ll go cry on Nick’s (Jack Wagner) shoulder, what if it’s Eric she turns to during her time of emotional need? And, while hugging it out things take a sexy little turn and Eric comforts her right into the bedroom? Now THAT would be the twist that would definitely keep on giving us some sizzling hot drama.
A Reunion That Could Rip the Family Apart!
Now, sure, Eric’s currently married to Donna, Brooke’s sister. But this is B&B, where romantic boundaries are as flimsy as a chiffon gown. Donna (Jennifer Gareis) knew exactly what she was doing when she cozied up to Eric while he was still married to Quinn (Rena Sofer). What goes around, comes around…and wouldn’t it be poetic if Brooke ended up in Eric’s arms, leaving Donna in the dust?

The fallout would be glorious. Donna betrayed Quinn, and now she could get a taste of her own medicine. Brooke betraying her sister again? That’s Logan tradition. And let’s not overlook the Forrester explosion this would cause. Ridge may say he’s done with Brooke, but watching his father swoop in and steal his so-called soulmate? That’s a new level of soap insanity.
And just imagine the ripple effect. Ridge spirals. Taylor (Rebecca Budig) gets caught in the crossfire. Hope (Annika Noelle) and RJ are torn between family loyalties. Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) won’t be able to resist getting involved—and who knows what that could ignite. This isn’t just a love triangle. This is a generational war.
So maybe Eric’s not just meddling out of love for his son. Maybe he’s laying the groundwork for his own romantic endgame. After all, if Brooke really isn’t Ridge’s destiny…wouldn’t that make her Eric’s unfinished business?
