It looks like The Bold and the Beautiful is gearing up for a battle of wills between Katie and Luna. Through tears and conviction, the Logan vowed to take custody of Luna’s baby if the child is Will’s and send her back to prison. Katie’s declaration on Wednesday, September 24’s episode of the soap was the expected response from her. However, while she reminded Bill that their son has a support system in them, she seemed to have forgotten Luna isn’t without family herself.
Will Luna’s Family Be A Problem For The Spencers?
While we can likely rule out Finn (Tanner Novlan) coming to Luna’s (Lisa Yamada) aid in a custody battle, that doesn’t mean her grandmothers—Li (Naomi Matsuda) and Sheila (Kimberlin Brown)—will sit back and let the Spencers take her child. Li says she’s washed her hands of Luna, but she was listening to Sheila when she pointed out their granddaughter outsmarted Bill (Don Diamont).
Sheila doesn’t think Li would just let the Spencers put Luna behind bars because that’s what they want. The same argument could be made about the family taking their grandchild. It’s hard to believe Li would let the Spencers have her grandbaby because they believe they’re what’s best. We can bet Sheila wouldn’t let that happen without a fight, too.
Katie And Bill Could Be In For A Shock
There’s also Will (Crew Morrow) to consider. Bill overstepped by pressuring Luna to get an abortion. Katie might also be overstepping by asserting to her ex-husband that they’ll assume custody of the baby. While she might mean getting Will granted sole custody and not that she and Bill will raise the child, it still stands that Will might not be okay with the mother of his child being imprisoned.
Currently, we don’t know what Will wants to do. His chief concern has been about telling Electra (Laneya Grace) the truth. He hasn’t had an opportunity to process that he’s going to be a father, let alone Luna’s baby. Where he lands on the issue is going to be the most important outside of Luna’s decision-making regarding the child.
So, for as much fuss Katie and Bill are making, Sheila’s right about Luna. She’s put the Spencers in a position where they have very little control. What happens next is going to be dependent on Luna and Will. Their families may weigh in, add their perspective, lodge threats, and try to influence the situation, but at the end of the day, it all boils down to what these two young adults are going to do. It’s their lives and their baby.
