Luna’s potential pregnancy on The Bold and the Beautiful has Bill’s dark side on full display. Instead of taking her to the police station on Thursday, September 18’s episode, the billionaire dragged her to the Spencer estate. He said it was because he wanted answers from her, but it became clear he wanted to make a push that may not be well-received by his family. Bill told Luna that if she really loves Will, she needs to get an abortion.

This isn’t the first time the CEO has suggested ending a pregnancy that he didn’t want. Decades ago, when Quinn was pregnant with Wyatt, he told her that she wasn’t going to have his baby. Bill gave Quinn money for an abortion and then didn’t speak to her for years. History is now repeating itself, except Bill’s not the father; his son, Will, is, which changes things.

Will May Disagree With His Father

As Bill (Don Diamont, read his tribute to the Palisades) was trying to coerce Luna (Lisa Yamada) into terminating a pregnancy that has yet to be confirmed by a doctor, Katie (Heather Tom) was taking a different approach with Will (Crew Morrow).

He was panicking, and she assured him that they weren’t going to take Luna at her word. They were going to have her take another pregnancy test, then they’d move forward with a paternity test if she is actually pregnant. From there, they’d make decisions on how to handle the situation.

Katie assumed that Bill didn’t take Luna to the police station because he was going to push her to take another test. Abortion never came to mind for her or Will. Given how they’re reacting to the news, it’s not likely that they and Bill will be on the same page. Though Will is aware that having a baby with Luna will jeopardize his relationship with Electra (Laneya Grace) and the future he envisioned, that doesn’t mean he’d want her to end the pregnancy.

Finding out Bill pushed for that action without talking to him and getting his opinion could put the father-son duo at odds. Not because they don’t agree that it’s horrifying Luna is pregnant with his child. But because that’s not a decision Bill gets to make.

Bill Overstepped

Ultimately, it’s Luna’s decision on whether she’ll continue with the pregnancy. However, it’s Will’s opinion that should carry the most weight outside of hers. Not Bill’s.

So far in this storyline, Will’s feelings on what he should do have run counter to a parental figure’s. He didn’t agree with his mother that he should stay silent about what happened the night Luna assaulted him. But he did so for fear of losing Electra. Now that there’s a possibility that Luna is pregnant, he’s made the decision to tell Electra what’s going on despite Katie’s opinion.

He could also buck Bill’s stance on what Luna should do. His father was in the wrong and, while nothing is right about this entire situation, the choices set to be made are hers and Will’s, not anyone else’s.
