Who’s coming and who’s going from The Bold and the Beautiful (BB)? Are any of your favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the not-too-far-off future?
Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring, or day player roles? Are any well-remembered or beloved stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join The Bold and the Beautiful fold in surprise new parts? Here’s the latest casting news from the CBS soap.
The week of August 8, 2022
The show’s most popular child star is out, at least for now. Henry Joseph Samiri is in Canada filming the new Freeform series The Watchful Eye and was unavailable to reprise his role as Douglas Forrester. Hence, the soap recast the role. Django Ferri steps in to play Douglas on Thursday, August 11.
In other kids casting news, River Davidson pops in as Beth Spencer, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Hope Logan Spencer’s (Annika Noelle) daughter. She’ll air on Thursday, August 11.
Jeremy Ray Valdez is back on the scene as Detective Alex Sanchez. He airs on Thursday, August 11, and Friday, August 12.
Meanwhile, Naomi Matsuda gets more screen time as Li Finnegan. The actress appears on Monday, August 8, Tuesday, August 9, Thursday, August 11, and Friday, August 12.
James Ripple reappears as “The Bartender.” He airs on Friday, August 12.
B&B made its debut in 1987 and introduced glitz and glamor to daytime soap operas. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, three decades of storylines with the backdrop of the fashion world setting the stage for epic romances have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.
From the first decades with Stephanie Forrester’s (Susan Flannery) iron grip on her family to Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) evil schemes to the epic love story of Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) that continues to this day, B&B knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more.
