Who’s coming and who’s going from the casts of The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), Days of our Lives (DAYS), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR)?
Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day player roles.
Is Jason Morgan alive and well and heading back to General Hospital? One Life To Live alum Josh Kelly, who played Cutter Wentworth on the defunct ABC soap, is joining the cast in an undisclosed contract role. According to Deadline, the character will impact the lives of Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco,) Dante Falconeri (Dom Zamprogna), and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), which sounds suspiciously like Jason Morgan, who was previously portrayed by Steve Burton on the soap opera.
Gregory Harrison makes another appearance as Gregory Chase. He’ll share scenes with Jophielle Love’s Violet on Thursday, May 19.
Stephanie Erb has reportedly wrapped up her run as Alexis Davis. Erb temporarily replaced Nancy Lee Grahn, while she was recovering from back surgery.
That was Jen Ray playing Chelsea Lam, the psychic who tried to advise Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). Ram previously appeared on the show back in 2019.
Good news for Lucas Horton fans. Bryan R. Dattilo is returning to Days of our Lives for his next story arc. Look for Lucas to resurface in Salem on Tuesday, May 17. The character was last seen in January when he testified at EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) trial, and then rejoined Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) in Italy.
Despite having recently undergone surgery for a broken ankle, Katherine Kelly Lang won’t miss any time on-air as The Bold and the Beautiful’s Brooke Logan. The actress took to Twitter to reveal that she’s back on set and plans to continue taping while she recovers.
Darin Brooks is finally back on screen. Look for the long-missing Wyatt Spencer to resurface on Monday, May 17, and Tuesday, May 18.
Dan Martin pops back in the soap opera as Deputy Chief Bradley Baker. He’ll be involved in scenes revolving around the recently arrested Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown).
It looks like Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) is getting a new man on The Young and the Restless. Sam McMurray, who’s appeared on the primetime hits Breaking Bad, Friends, The King of Queens, and The Sopranos, has been cast as Dwight. The actor has a soap past, too, having played Phil on Edge of Night and Wes on Ryan’s Hope. He’ll start airing later this month.
