Who’s coming and who’s going from the soap opera casts of The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless?

Comings and Goings For The Week of December 4, 2023

Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles.

The Bold and the Beautiful

The impending demise of the Forrester family patriarch, Eric (John McCook), means some family members and fan favorites will be returning to The Bold and the Beautiful. Winsor Harmon is first on the scene as Thorne Forrester, Eric’s son. He begins airing on Tuesday, December 5.

Ashley Jones is headed back as Dr. Bridget Forrester, Eric and Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) daughter, too. She makes her first appearance on Wednesday, December 6.

General Hospital: Comings and Goings

One vet leaves, and another is returning to General Hospital. Ellen Travolta wrapped up her short visit as Gloria Cerullo, Lois’s (Rena Sofer). The character headed home to Bensonhurst, last week.

Meanwhile, Jane Elliot is back on the scene as the formidable Tracy Quartermaine. Her character returned to Port Charles after a trip to Amsterdam to help settle the late Luke’s (Anthony Geary) affairs.

As the malpractice lawsuit against Finn (Michael Easton) takes center stage Shelley Robertson has been cast as Dede Clark. She’s the attorney representing the hospital. Look back at her debut performance here.

Patrick Smith has been playing Detective Briscoe, the cop investigating Austin’s (Roger Howarth) murder. He aired in scenes with Dominic Zamprogna’s Dante and Josh Swickard’s Chase.

That was Nick Gracer portraying Petrov, the Russian mobster whose wife Gloria offended. Also, Lyn Alicia Henderson appeared as Claire Brown, the surrogacy agency worker who met with Molly (Kristen Vaganos).

The Young and the Restless

J. Eddie Peck’s return as Cole Howard is long-term on The Young and the Restless. The character will be heavily involved in the on-going Claire/Eve storyline.

Jess Walton is back as Jill Abbott and Veronica Redd reappears as Mamie Johnson on Thursday, December 7. Look for Tucker (Trevor St. John) to stir things up between the two adversaries.

Lauralee Bell and Michael Damian get more airtime as Christine and Danny on Friday, December 8. Look for things to get romantic between the former spouses.

Days of our Lives

Jackie Cox is reprising his role as Darius Rose Cooper on Days of our Lives.  Look for the actor to air on Monday, December 4 in scenes with Peter Porte’s Leo. Cox last appeared on the soap in April 2022, when he crashed Leo (Greg Rikaart)  and Craig’s (Kevin Spirtas) wedding.
