Who’s coming and who’s going from the soap opera casts of The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless?
Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles.
Darin Brooks confirmed that he’s taking a break from playing Wyatt Spencer on The Bold and the Beautiful. After viewers noticed he was no longer featured in the show’s opening credits, Brooks clarified things on Instagram. “After 10 amazing years, it’s time for me to say ‘Until we meet again…’ to Wyatt Spencer. Doesn’t mean it’s the end, just… bye for now…” posted the actor.
The fashion show showdown between Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) gets underway this week, and there will be some big guests on hand. Marie Osmond begins her recurring role as Countess Von Frankfurt on Friday, October 27. She’ll appear in several episodes on the soap opera.
The Young the Restless stars Tracey Bregman and Kate Linder will be crossing over from Genoa City, too. Bregman’s Lauren Fenmore and Linder’s Esther Valentine will both be attending the show and are scheduled to air on Wednesday, October 25, Thursday, October 26, and Friday, October, 27.
The long-missing Delon de Metz and Diamond White are also back on the scene as Zende Dominguez Forrester and Paris Buckingham. The pair resurface on Friday, October 27.
The neglected Baldwin-Fisher family will soon get some airtime together on The Young and the Restless. A photo posted on the soap’s official Instagram site featured Tracey Bregman (Lauren) and Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe) along with Judith Chapman (Gloria), Christian LeBlanc (Michael), and Greg Rikaart (Kevin) with the tag, “Spotted on the #YR set: A family reunion.”
Stefan Marks has been cast as Dr. Shelton. Look for Mark Grossman’s Adam Newman to meet with the physician on Friday, October 27.
David S. Lee is set to portray Gil on Days of our Lives. It’s a short-term recurring role. He’ll share scenes on the soap opera with Tamara Braun’s Ava Vitali on Tuesday, October 24. Lee might look familiar to daytime fans. He previously played Winston Rudge on General Hospital.
Salem’s kid contingent is back in full force this week. Finley Rose Slater airs as Rachel Black on Wednesday, October 25 in scenes with Brandon Barash’s Stefan DiMera.
Meanwhile, Chad DiMera’s (Billy Flynn) children are set to appear, too. Cary Christopher turns up as Thomas DiMera and Autumn Gendron resurfaces as Charlotte DiMera on Thursday, October 26.
On the exit front, Kyle Lowder has departed the soap as Rex Brady. The character left town after Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) asked Rex for a divorce. The door has been left open for his return at a later date.
Kathleen Gati’s brief absence as General Hospital’s Liesl Obrecht is finally over. The character finally resurfaces in scenes with Katelyn MacMullen’s Willow Quartermaine on Wednesday, October 25, when aunt and niece reconnect.
Kin Shriner pops back in as Scott Baldwin on Monday, October 23. He’ll interact with Genie Francis’ Laura Collins, who confronts him about something.
