In a case of CBS synergy, two recent contenders on the eye network’s reality series — Big Brother — are going to make some appearances on The Bold and the Beautiful. Matt Klotz, who came in second, and Cirie Fields, who came in fifth place, will pop on B&B.
According to EW, Fields and Klotz taped their scenes on Monday, November 13 and they’ll air on Wednesday, December 20. Cirie has been cast as Dr. Martin, who’ll shared screen-time with Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and Dr. Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones). The trio will talk about a patient they are treating. Could that patient be Eric Forrester (John McCook)? It’s possible! This isn’t Cirie’s first foray into the world of daytime. She also appeared on an episode of Guiding Light in 2005.
Klotz will play James, a Forrester Creations employee, who’ll interact with RJ (Joshua Hoffman), Zende (Delon de Metz), and Luna (Lisa Yamada). RJ is the latest Forrester family member to go into the family business, the world of fashion. Zende popped back up on the show during the fashion showdown between Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Eric (John McCook). Last year, Season 24 Big Brother champion Taylor Hale and runner-ups Monte Taylor and Joseph Abdin did a turn on the half-hour soap opera.
The two CBS series have been working together for almost 20 years. The first Big Brother contestant to drop by B&B was back in 2004 when Season 5 winner Drew Daniel appeared on B&B as a reporter. He played a journalist named Drew. Other Big Brother contestants have done day player and/or cameo appearances on the show over the years.
B&B has plenty of “Big Brothers” on the show — and not just ones from the reality series . Ridge, the oldest Forrester family sibling, used to lord his dominance over Thorne (Winsor Harmon), calling him “little brother.” The Logan sibling Storm (Ethan Wayne; Brian Patrick Clarke; Will deVry) was very protective of sisters Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), Donna (Jennifer Gareis), and Katie (Heather Tom) especially after their dad, Stephen (Patrick Duffy) walked out on the family.
