No longer the new kid on the block, The Bold and the Beautiful is airing its 8000th episode today!
In honor of this incredible milestone, head writer and executive producer, Bradley Bell has shared something special with the soap’s loyal fans.
“It’s astonishing to look at the script we’re working on today and see episode 8000,” Bell said in a statement. “We’re grateful that you’ve allowed us into your homes for over 30 years.
“The 8000th episode is classic Bold and Beautiful drama. The story arc centers around an event so profound, it sends shockwaves throughout the lives of the Forresters, Spencers, Avants, Spectras, and Logans for years to come.”
In honor of B&B’s 8000th episode, Bell took a look back at eight memorable stories!
Brooke and Eric’s Wedding
After Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Eric (John McCook) finally wed, the honeymooners went horseback riding and then took a breathtaking hot air balloon ride that brought them to a romantic destination.
Brooke’s Bedroom
The premiere of Brooke’s lingerie line made her rival Stephanie (Susan Flannery) seethe with disapproval! The Forrester matriarch couldn’t believe her family’s successful couture business had turned into “Brooke’s Bedroom.”
Storm’s Sacrifice
Storm (William deVry) ended his life in order to give his heart to his dying sister Katie (Heather Tom) so that she could live.
Stephanie’s Journey
After being diagnosed with cancer, Stephanie visited Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles. There, she decided to help a group of people who needed support.
Steffy’s Style
No one makes an entrance better than Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), whether she shows up at a wedding wearing a miniskirt and boots or a black lace gown or if she ziplines her way to the altar via the Sydney Opera House.
My Sister, My Brother
B&B embarked on new territory by revealing that Maya Avant (Karla Mosley) was born Myron. In a touching series of episodes, Maya revealed her identity to Rick (Jacob Young). After recovering from the initial shock, Rick realized he still loved Maya and they were wed. Later, the couple became parents to little Lizzie.
Quinn’s Crusade
Wanting her son Wyatt (Darin Brooks) to have a happy life with Steffy, Quinn (Rena Sofer) kept Liam (Scott Clifton), suffering from memory loss, captive in a remote cabin.
Who Shot Bill
It couldn’t have happened to a more deserving guy. After alienating pretty much everyone in Los Angeles, Bill (Don Diamont) became a shooting victim. At first, Liam believed he had shot his dad, but then it was revealed that Taylor (Hunter Tylo) was the culprit.
