Heather Tom Celebrates AWESOME Milestone!

Katie certainly has her hands full on The Bold and the Beautiful but her portrayer, Heather Tom, has plenty to celebrate.

Tom was born to Marie and Charles Tom on November 4, 1975, in Hinsdale, Illinois, which means that she turned 43 years old on Sunday! She is the older sister to fellow actors David (who played Billy on Y&R) and Nicholle Tom (The Nanny).

One of her first roles was on the TV show Who’s The Boss, starring former soap star Judith Light (ex-Karen, One Life to Live) and Tony Danza.

Not long after that, she booked She’ll Take Romance, which starred Dynasty star, Linda Evans. That same year she landed her first soap role as Victoria on The Young and the Restless — for which she won two Daytime Emmys.

During that time, she also appeared on several primetime shows like Diagnosis Murder and the movie Deadly Whispers, again with Tony Danza.

Her next soap took her to New York from 2004-2006 when she played Kelly on One Life to Live. She also guest starred on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. After that, she landed the role of Katie on B&B in 2007 — which brought her back to Los Angeles.

On the personal front, Tom owns an interior design firm with husband James Achor, whom she married on September 17, 2011. Clients include actress Poppy Montgomery. They have a son, Zane Alexander Achor, who was born on October 28, 2012.

The talented actress who has been pulling double duty directing was recently named to the 2018-19 Directors Initiative, which provides a platform for experienced directors to gain access to powerful people in showbiz.
