Love stories come in threes on soaps; particularly, The Bold and the Beautiful, a show that’s always thrived on twisted trios.
These days, it’s Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), Brooke and Bill (Don Diamont); and Wyatt (Darin Brooks), Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Liam (Scott Clifton). Tainted triangles have been the crux of B&B for decades. Often it’s brothers or a father and son, fighting for the same woman, or sisters desperate to land the same man. Soap Hub asked viewers if they’ve had their fill of B&B’s threesomes.
Tired of Trios
Surprisingly, a whopping 89% of those who weighed in are tired of the show’s trios. You didn’t enjoy watching Bill (Don Diamont) exchange Katie (Heather Tom) for her sister, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). You’re also not liking the Ridge/Brooke/Bill triangle any better. What really irks you are siblings and other family members regularly trading spouses on the soap. That’s just not right.
Love Triangles Make B&B Go Round
The triangles can’t get tainted enough for 9% of fans. You realize they are synonymous with B&B and can’t imagine the soap without them. Sure, they’re wild and, oft times, totally out there, but they’re never boring. It sure beats watching constant shootouts and murders.
Jury Is Out
Some 2% of you are up in the air regarding your thoughts on the subject. You’ve enjoyed your share of trios over the years, dating back to B&B’s Caroline, Ridge and Brooke. However, every now and then, the soap delves into one that really irks you, too. Either way, you still can’t get enough of The Bold and the Beautiful and plan to keep watching the various stories unfold.
