The Bold and the Beautiful Recap, Tuesday, July 2: A Harsh Reality

The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Tuesday, July 2 featured a day when all Hope’s dreams for the future became a nightmare reality. She heard everything about last night and it tears away at her soul.

The Morning After
Liam (Scott Clifton) woke up with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) in his bed and it took him a second to orient himself. Reality soon hit him and he remembered everything.

He came onto her, he flirted with her, he pulled her into his bed, and he begged her to stay there. However, something tells him he was not quite himself last night.

Nevertheless, what’s done is done and has to face the consequences and figure out what comes next. First, he decided he has to come clean to Hope. He pushed her to the brink at the party and owes her a deep apology. And, while he’s there he may as well break the news himself.

Hope’s Personal Hell
Of course, that’s easier said than done. Hope was still furious about Liam’s demeanor during the barbeque and told Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) all about it. He was happy — too happy, and boy did it get on her nerves.

How can he be so upbeat when he was breaking inside? Unfortunately, everything got worse when Liam showed up and told her about sleeping with Steffy!

What did Hope expect, though? She threw away her married, pushed him to move into the Cliff house, and even tried to throw him back into Steffy’s arms. This was bound to happen sometime. In fact, she saw the flame rekindling between “Steam” right before her eyes.

The Plan Worked!
Meanwhile, back at the cliff house, Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) stopped in to see how things went. He was pleasantly surprised to see his sister’s bed not slept in and questioned Steffy about what went down. Steffy tried to keep her dignity but one slip up proved what Thomas already knew — Liam messed up and now Hope will move on.

So, Thomas prepped himself and his son for the next phase of the plan. He had a ring ready and decided to include Douglas in the plot. After all, he’s doing all this so Douglas can have a mom, right? The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
