What Happens When Caroline Returns To The Bold and The Beautiful (B&B)?

Remember Caroline? For a while there, she was all the Forresters and Spencers could talk about on The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B).

Was Caroline too young for Ridge (Thorsten Kaye)? Was she just a substitute for his first, lost, namesake love? Did Thomas (Pierson Fodé) take advantage of her, or were they both too drunk to know any better?

Who is the father of Caroline’s baby? Should Caroline let Ridge cut Thomas out of Douglas’s life? What happened to the placenta when Caroline delivered in that kiddie pool and she and Ridge blissfully splashed around like it wasn’t filled with blood?

Missing Persons
But now there is only one question left. Uhm… Where’s Caroline (Linsey Godfrey)? And that baby everyone was so concerned about just a little while ago?

Thomas told Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) that Caroline decided to stay with her moms for a while and let them fuss over her and Douglas. It would seem that Thomas, who once swore he wouldn’t be separated from his precious child by anyone, doesn’t really mind.

He’s got other stuff going on. So does Ridge. Which, of course, means now would be the perfect time for Caroline to come back.

Switch-A-Roo
Executive Producer Bradley Bell has been quoted as saying he wanted to focus on the Thomas and Sally (Courtney Hope) relationship, so that’s why he wrote Caroline out.

But there’s another option. Just make little Douglas Ridge’s, as many fans suspected it would turn out all along. That would free up Thomas to chase the Spectra scion to his heart’s content.

Juggling Act
And it would make Ridge’s life more complicated. Right now, Quinn (Rena Sofer), between protesting too much about how she and Eric (John McCook) will be in love forever, is dealing with her jealousy of Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) by remembering that this is a relationship that never lasts.

But what if Caroline re-enters the picture? Pretty, nubile Caroline, mother of Ridge’s child… and half Quinn’s age. Could that be what pushes Quinn over the edge? And pushes Caroline off the same cliff Quinn helped Deacon swan-dive over?
