As Steffy Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood has told stories of love, loss, dependency, hope, and survival. Now, the actress wants to hear your stories of struggle and triumph.
The two-time Daytime Emmy-winning actress took to Instagram to get the conversation going! “This week we are talking about #healing on @goodrisings #gratefulgrains,” Wood says referring to the Good Risings podcast. Jacqueline MacInnes Wood and her pal Bryan McMullin serve as executive producers and hosts of the Grateful Grains segment. “Do you need to heal from your past? What’s your story?”
Wood’s followers weighed in with their own stories. “[F]irstly, you’re amazing,” posted @blarshawalmsley. “I keep my story short — my husband left me…I went thru 6 years of depression then I wrote a song about him called the Memories by Blarsha now I’m doing my first album.”
“I dealt with abandonment issues at 5 years old which left me with low self-esteem,” revealed @delores.cannady. “I’m still working on these issues.” Adds @desdemona8686, “Yes I do. Need to heal from depression, anxiety, bug failure in relationships and also in friendships…Love from Italia.”
“You are absolutely right dear Jacqueline,” wrote @carinatiotuico. “I did set up boundaries all the time for my son, that’s why he is in Juilliard college and still respects me and loves me. I was a tough mother and I love my son, but every parent should set up boundaries. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!”
Jacqueline MacInnes Wood’s Instagram post can be seen below. It contains these and other heartfelt testimonials from her followers all of which have touched both the actress and McMullin.
“Reading through these stories… It’s such a clear reminder that we just never know what people are working through,” writes McMullin. “Sometimes it takes every ounce of fight [you have] just to make it to the next day. I’m endlessly inspired by all the perseverance.”
“I am so moved by all of your stories I’m reading,” Wood responded. “I’m humbled and in awe of all of the strength and courage. Thank you so much for sharing…sending my love.”
