This coming Friday, June 26, 2020, the soap world welcomes The Daytime Emmys back to broadcast television as CBS will air the ceremony in a most unusual way. Stars will accept their nominations from home in a virtual event due to the coronavirus. Now, CBS soaps are sharing Emmy highlights from its nominees and The Bold and the Beautiful’s Thorsten Kaye, nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series.
Thorsten Kaye: Emmy Moment
Ridge can barely believe the things his son, Thomas has done. And it’s heartbreaking for him as he has to confront Thomas while the younger man recovers in the hospital after falling from the cliff outside his sister’s home. We also see several confrontations between Ridge and Brooke as they fight about Thomas.
See Kaye’s Emmy moment in the tweet below and don’t forget to tune in Friday at 8 pm for The 47th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, hosted by the ladies from The Talk.
Let’s give this #BoldandBeautiful nominee a round of applause! 👏 Tune in to the #DaytimeEmmys this Friday, June 26th on @CBS to see if @Iamthorstenkaye wins big. 🏆 pic.twitter.com/i6RLBuKYR1

The Bold and the Beautiful History
BB made its debut in 1987 and introduced glitz and glamour to daytime soap operas. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, three decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.
From Stephanie’s (Susan Flannery) iron grip on her family to Sheila’s (Kimberlin Brown) evil schemes to the epic love story of Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), BB knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.
Bringing the Drama
It is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), Days of our Lives (DAYS), and The Young and the Restless (YR). BB airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for air times.
