Kim Matula exited her role as Hope on The Bold and the Beautiful over three years ago. Now the actress has some big casting news to share.
Matula had landed a plum role as Ronnie on the Fox sitcom LA to Vegas, which was set at a fictional airline and features a cast of characters who shuttled back and forth between Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
Alas, the actress tweeted the sad news that Fox has permanently grounded the series and it won’t be coming back for a second season.
Does this mean Matula might be returning to soaps?
Probably not. The actress made brief appearances on B&B in 2015 and 2016, but appears to have left soaps behind. She has worked quite a bit since exiting B&B. In addition to her most recent series, she’s also had roles on UnREAL, Teachers, and Rosewood.
Soap Hub spoke to Matula earlier this year as LA to Vegas was taking off. She remained philosophical about B&B recasting the role of Hope with Annika Noelle, noting “I’ve heard Annika is fantastic. I’m really happy for her.”
Check out the actress’ heartfelt thoughts on LA to Vegas ending in her tweet below.
