While some may feel that Thomas Forrester manipulating those around him is going too far on The Bold And The Beautiful, being a control-freak is actually in his blood. One of his relatives was famous for pulling more strings than a puppeteer!

We’re talking about the late Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery), grandmother to Thomas (Matthew Atkinson). While Thomas is getting his son, Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri) to do his bidding while scaring the poor child half to death with a fake ghost, Stephanie did far, far worse.

Here’s a look back at five of Stephanie’s wicked moves, which included assault, fraud, and other assorted mean things.

Bullying Brooke
Stephanie used Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) as a punching bag for decades even though they made up towards the end of her life. The Forrester matriarch slapped a stunned Brooke across the face after she pointed out that Eric (John McCook) loved Beth (Nancy Burnett) before he ever met Stephanie. “That’s enough of that!” Steph snarled after striking her nemesis.

Au Revoir, Beth!
Stephanie competed with Eric loving Beth using subterfuge. She employed a private eye to locate Beth’s runaway husband Stephen (Robert Pine; Patrick Duffy), brought him back to Los Angeles, paid his salary at Spencer Publications, and asked Bill Spencer, Sr. (Jim Storm) to relocate Stephen (and Beth) to Paris! Problem solved!

Tea, But No Sympathy
Morgan DeWitt (Sarah Buxton), at Steph’s urging, aborted Ridge’s baby when she was a young woman. She returned to Los Angeles years later and tricked Ridge into impregnating her a second time.

Determined to keep Ridge’s then-relationship with Taylor (Hunter Tylo) intact, Stephanie tried to get Morgan to drink some tea that would have caused a miscarriage.

Secrets And Lies
Steph was a controlling helicopter parent with her daughters, too. She hired Clarke Garrison (Dan McVicar) to romance Kristen (Teri Ann Linn; Tracey Melchior) because she believed her daughter was frigid.

She lied to her family that Angela was dead when she was not. (Actually, she was but Stephanie didn’t know that at first.) Finally, Steph also let everyone believe that Felicia (Lesli Kay) had died, but she had not.

Sneak Attack
Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) was happy with Brooke when Taylor came back from the dead (for the second time). So, Steph faked a heart attack, enlisting Dr. Mark Maclaine (Michael Dietz) to back up her claim.

Brooke and Jackie (Lesley-Ann Down) found out the truth and forced Steph to confess, but before she came clean the Forrester matriarch explained to her family how she felt Brooke had devastated her life by sleeping with all the men who were important to her.

Can Thomas match his late grandmother in terms of lies and manipulations? Stay tuned to find out! The Bold And The Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
