Season 8 of The Walking Dead will be taking its mid-season break soon, and whatever happens in the finale episode must be a doozy because the show will expand to 88 minutes.
Airing on December 10, the episode will have about 65 minutes of showtime after commercials rather than the usual 42 minutes, according to Digital Spy.
While there’s no information on what exactly happens in this expanded episode, the war between Negan and Rick clearly needs more time to play out and just might come to a roaring crescendo.
In true soap opera-style (and comic book-style), expect a major cliffhanger that will leave fans wanting more. But, that’s what The Walking Dead has always done as we wonder who will die next–and who will miraculously turn up alive or return to Rick nd his group.
After the episode airs, expect another installment of Talking Dead as usual, but rather than air at 10 pm EST, it will begin at 10:28.
What comes during the second half of Season 8 is anyone’s guess, but we expect new episodes in February just in time for ratings sweeps.
The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 EST on AMC.
