Summer Lovin’: Who’s Your Favorite General Hospital Pair In 2018?

Soaps and love in the afternoon are synonymous, although romance is not what’s dominated General Hospital (GH) this summer.

After all, the only wedding we got this summer was between Michael and Nelle, a groom determined to bring down his sociopathic bride, who also happens to be nine months pregnant.

The rest of the summer has involved a tied up Peter, an unhinged kidnapping Liesl out of her mind with grief over the death of her son, and her reluctant accomplice, niece Nina.

But that’s ok, you still love your favorite pairs, even the ones who aren’t together at the moment – as well as ones you wish would get together for the first time. Soap Hub asked you to name your favorites and you had plenty of ideas…

Jasam
After more than 3,000 votes were tallied, 38% of you chose Jason (Steve Burton) and Sam (Kelly Monaco). Sure, it’s been a slow burn (if you could even call it that) once again for these two, but it looks like they just might be the end game.

Sam is divorced and free, and she sure seems to be on Jason’s mind, as evidenced by his talk with Jake this week. Of course, Sam also has to share space with Carly, so there’s that.

Carson
Speaking of Carly (Laura Wright), her pairing with Sonny (Maurice Benard) put them in second place with 28% of the vote. Sure, they are spending the summer apart, as Carly languishes in Ferncliff. But, these two have managed to stay married for nearly three years this time around. You know they’ll prevail.

Fanna
Next comes Anna and Finn (Michael Easton) with 17% of the vote. They may have only had about 10 days of happiness before Anna took off to visit Robin, and ended up kidnapped before she got to the airport. But that’s ok because …continue reading on the next page —>

But that’s ok because it’s Finola Hughes’ summer vacation! You know she’ll be back soon and the pair will pick up where they left off.

Dream
Next comes Drew (Billy Miller) and Sam with about 8% of the vote. Yes, she seems to be headed Jason’s way and GH made it clear with one little scene that the DA Margaux (Elizabeth Hendrickson) is his new love interest, but you’re still holding out hope that the soap will change course.

Jortis
A small 4% of the vote goes to Jordan (Vinessa Antoine) and Curtis (Donnell Turner). They’re happy, in love, and can’t wait to wed. Of course, Aunt Stella has made a few calls to Curtis’ ex and Vinessa Antoine just announced she’s leaving the show, so anything can happen now.

Friz
Another couple with 4% of the vote is Franco (Roger Howarth) and Liz (Rebecca Herbst). They’re also happy, in love, and can’t wait to be married, so maybe it will happen for them this time.

Of course, we also had quite a few write-ins. Some would like to see Hayden and Finn back together and a few others are still holding out hope for Jason and Elizabeth to make it work. Other suggested couples that include Kiki and Griffin, Aunt Stella and Mike, and Drew and Kim. Hey, you never know what can happen with daytime romance!
