The drama on Days of Our Lives involved drunk driving secrets, revenge schemes, fake wives, and the end of a marriage. Yes, characters dealt with dumpster fires that threatened to ruin their lives. And for that, four of the show’s actors are getting some much-deserved recognition.
October 2024 Performer of the Month
For most of October, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) thought he was guilty of the drunk driving hit and run that caused Sarah’s (Linsey Godfrey) paralysis. On the flip side, Xander (Paul Telfer) blamed Brady for the crime, and instead of wanting him to do the time, he wanted to erase him from the timeline. Meanwhile, Chad (Billy Flynn) learned that his life and his wife were lies. And Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) faced the end of her marriage to Stefan. Oh, and also sleeping with Stefan’s bad-boy brother.

Fans were mesmerized when Xander learned that Brady didn’t hit Sarah after all. Instead, Fiona (Serena Scott Thomas) was the culprit. On top of that, Xander witnessed her about to kill his wife after the truth came out! The emotional scenes that followed as Fiona tried to explain herself were heartbreaking because Xander just wanted his mother to be a mother. He wanted her to get her act together.

He wanted a normal relationship with the woman who helped Sarah and cared for Victoria. Instead, he realized she would never get her act together. And that he didn’t need her in his life.
Telfer’s character also exhibited a lot of rage issues in October. He almost broke both of Brady’s legs with a bat. And he had Brady drugged in hopes of making it easier for him to kill his nemesis. The next minute, he was all loving and sweet with his wife and daughter. In addition. Xander desperately attempted to sway Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) to give him the serum that could cure Sarah. Telfer played all the beats beautifully.
While Xander still has his thuggish tendencies, he’s evolved as a character, and Telfer’s many fans continually root for him, and so do we.
