You know the old saying, “Nectar of the Gods?” That’s all I could think of after hearing the name of the mattress and it made me smile.
I had been researching mattresses for several years (I am a little slow on these types of purchases), knowing it would be a 10-year investment, at the very least. I wandered into any mattress store I stumbled upon and tried out the inventory. I endlessly searched the internet looking for the right “fit.”
Things that were important to me regarding my purchase: comfort, breathability, texture, support (I like medium support, not too firm, not too soft), and price.
On paper, it looked like Nectar Sleep Mattress had it all. With a 365 day trial period and a “forever warranty,” I decided to give it a try.
I’ll be honest, it took a little longer to arrive, but it did arrive. It happened to arrive on a day after I had been working on a deadline, bent over my computer, and typing for hours.

My upper back and neck were really killing me. My first impression was of smell. It didn’t have that musty odor of a new mattress wrapped in plastic. It had the fresh and clean smell of newly washed linens that always makes me happy (okay, I’m a dork).
My second impression was the luxurious feel of the materials, soft, long staple cotton that includes Tencel – a fabric more absorbent than cotton, softer than silk, and cooler than linen.
I sleep hot so I was looking forward to the feel of the cool fabric to see if it made for a deeper slumber. And then, I laid down, as I so often did during my regular stops at mattress retailers near and far from me in search of sweet dreams at a great price. I sunk into my newest acquisition and I think I felt my body literally sigh. My body settled into the warm (and cool) embrace of my new mattress.
It was, at the risk of sounding like Goldilocks, just right. Not too firm. Not too soft. Later, after a warm shower and added fresh linens and bedding, I climbed in for a full night of research.
The next morning I felt like a Goddess after a deep tissue massage. Very satisfied with my decision. Pleased at the price, but more than happy with the results of my new Nectar Sleep Mattress.
