Go Inside the Wedding Reception of Chad Duell and Courtney Hope

On Saturday, off-screen soap opera super couple Courtney Hope and Chad Duell got married. The Young and the Restless bride and the General Hospital groom tied the knot in a Steampunk-themed wedding. Before you head off to google, ‘Steampunk’ is referred to, in fashion, as a style that has no set rules however, it leans into combining modern styles with looks from the Victorian era.

Chad Duell and Courtney Hope Are Husband and Wife

Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke, The Bold and the Beautiful) was among the wedding guests and captured bride Courtney Hope (Sally, Y&R) and groom Chad Duell (Michael, GH) dancing to “Yours” by singer Russell Dickerson. “Congratulations to this beautiful couple!” Lang posted.

“I am so happy for you both @thecourtneyhope and @duelly … you are both special people,” Lang added. “And the best wedding ever! The music, the setting, the vibes, the vows, the theme, the people, friends and family, the love. FANTASTIC!!! Love you! #teamdope #steampunkwedding.” Lang brought TV sister Jennifer Gareis (Donna) as her “date” as her boyfriend Dom is still recovering from collarbone surgery. (Get well soon, Dom!) Hope responded, “you guys looked amazing! Love you both!!”

The Bride’s “Grandmother” Speaks

Patrika Darbo, who recurs on Y&R as Courtney Hope’s (Sally) grandmother Shirley, posted a video from the lively festivities. “Hi, everybody, it’s Patrika,” Darbo shared in a social media video. “I’m here at Chad and Courtney’s wedding. It’s a fabulous event!”

Darbo didn’t reveal the exact location but it was clear that the reception was held in an outdoor setting based on her video. “It’s so exciting…where we are,” the actress shared. “They are such a fabulous couple. I’m so blessed to have played Courtney’s grandmother.”

“I love you all,” Darbo told her followers who were checking out her post. “It’s such a fun event. We had a wonderful Texas barbeque — chicken and beef and brussels sprouts. We’re having a nice evening. It’s a little chilly…but I wanted to say hi. Courtney was absolutely effing fabulous in her red gown and Chad in that tuxedo!
