The General Hospital recap (GH) for Wednesday, March 21 features a daring self-rescue as Drew and Franco managed to escape.
Free At Last
As the concrete poured in, Drew (Billy Miller) put his Navy SEAL underwater skills to work and managed to get he and Franco (Roger Howarth) up out of the sub-basement through a sewer. They didn’t smell very nice when he arrived at the PCPD and Sam let him know it.
Both women ran to their men’s arms when they saw them and Franco seemed genuinely surprised by Elizebeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) affections. Before they left, Drew made sure Franco still had the rabbit’s foot and let him know it definitely came in handy.
Someone Else Is Free At Last
Meanwhile, Jordan (Vinessa Antoine) and Curtis (Donnell Turner) finally found Betsy and realized Jim Harvey (Greg Evigan) was holding her against her will for months. All she wanted to do was get to Bobby and Andy and tell them the truth, but Jordan wanted to bring her to the hospital.

Michael (Chad Duell) had his date with the new pretty nurse, but then Nelle (Chloe Lanier) interrupted to talk about childbirth classes.
Francesca figured out this is a complicated situation she so does not want to be a part of. Michael was disappointed, but she told him to hold onto her number.
Nelle Freaks Out Ava
Over at the gallery, Ava (Maura West) even warned Nelle she might be taking her plan to far and reminded her that her own life only got better when she tried being a better person.
Nelle wasn’t buying any of that be a good person stuff. She has a woman to drive insane, a man to snag, and some scarves to cut, muddy, and make bloody. Busy woman, that Nelle is.
Ava’s Love Life
However, Ava’s situation improved when Griffin (Matt Cohen) agreed to move in with her temporarily–only until his apartment is repaired. We shall see…
