Key Takeaways
- Ezra was a horrible person when we first met him.
- His personality is slowly changing.
- Ezra told Laura that he is also under Sidwell’s thumb.
- Sidwell needs to be taken down.
- Ezra could help Sonny and Laura accomplish their goal.
The Good In Ezra
Ezra (Daniel Cosgrove) was introduced as an obnoxious blowhard, paired with Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Drew (Cameron Mathison). They say it’s the company you keep, and it does not get any worse than these two. He also tried every trick in the book to get rid of Laura (Genie Francis) so that he could become mayor.
Lately, we are noticing a quiet shift in Ezra’s personality. He seemed vulnerable and, dare we say, sweet, when he asked Jacinda (Paige Herschell) to start a real relationship. It was hard not to feel a tiny bit sorry for him.
Now, Ezra is beginning to tell Laura more of his own story. He shared that he does not want to work for Sidwell; he has to, just like the mayor. The villain is either threatening or blackmailing him to do his bidding, and he is afraid. The councilman is trying to warn Laura not to cross Sidwell and has hinted that he knows what happens when someone goes against Jenz. The mayor is slowly softening towards him.
Dream Team?
Almost everyone in Port Charles is trying to take down Sidwell. There is Team Carly (Laura Wright) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), Team Jason (Steve Burton), Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), now with Lucas (Van Hansis), and Team Brennan (Chris McKenna) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna). They are all trying, but no one has gotten close yet.
There is also Team Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Laura. Is there a world in which Ezra can join this team? There might be. The councilman has been in Jenz’s orbit for quite some time and may be privy to things the others are not. He wants to get out from under Sidwell’s thumb, and he could be helpful to Laura and Sonny. It doesn’t look exactly like a dream team, but the combination of all their resources could make it one.
Do you think Ezra could help Laura and Sonny take down Sidwell?
