Ezra (Daniel Cosgrove) was introduced as an obnoxious blowhard, paired with Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Drew (Cameron Mathison). They say it’s the company you keep, and it does not get any worse than these two. He also tried every trick in the book to get rid of Laura (Genie Francis) so that he could become mayor.
Lately, we are noticing a quiet shift in Ezra’s personality. He seemed vulnerable and, dare we say, sweet, when he asked Jacinda (Paige Herschell) to start a real relationship. It was hard not to feel a tiny bit sorry for him.
Now, Ezra is beginning to tell Laura more of his own story. He shared that he does not want to work for Sidwell; he has to, just like the mayor. The villain is either threatening or blackmailing him to do his bidding, and he is afraid. They are all trying, but no one has gotten close yet.

The councilman has been in Jenz’s orbit for quite some time and may be privy to things the others are not. He wants to get out from under Sidwell’s thumb, and he could be helpful to Laura and Sonny.
