You’ll Never Guess the Thrilling Detail These Amazing Soap Stars Share!

Both Ian Buchanan and James Patrick Stuart have being soap stars in common, and they also share another important detail.

General Hospital (GH) fans watch as James Patrick Stuart portrays the possibly misunderstood, sometimes villainous Valentin Cassidine. Currently, they wonder if Valentin will ever get to have a family with his daughter Charlotte and have a bit of happiness.

What newer sudser fans may not know is that Stuart also portrayed Will Cortlandt/Justin Carrier/Justin Ferrier on All My Children for five years in the early 90s.

The prolific Ian Buchanan most recently portrayed Duke Lavery on GH — a role that started his daytime career in 1986. Like his co-star, Buchanan also appeared on All My Children as Dr. Greg Madden, but this pair didn’t co-star because Buchanan didn’t hit Pine Valley until the early 2000s.

Additionally, the Scottish-born soap star also appeared as Ian McAllister on Days of Our Lives (DOOL) and Dr. James Warwick on The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), so he’s well known among daytime’s long-time viewers.

The fantastic thing these two wonderful actors share is a birthday! Today Buchanan celebrates his milestone 60th birthday while Stuart turns 49.
