Soap opera ratings have been going down the tubes for so long now, it has Soap Hub wondering if the day will come when we no longer have any soaps at all.
So we asked what you would do all soaps were canceled.
Turn It Off
After over 4,000 votes were tallied, 61% made no bones about it – you will be done with daytime television. There will be no watching other types of shows, like cooking or talk. They can’t stun you with a return like B&B did with Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) last week.
You only tune in for your favorite characters to watch how their lives are going. You would have liked to see Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor (Eric Braeden) find their way back to each other. You know cooking shows will just fall flat.
Love The One You’re With
It appears that 20% will miss your shows but you still need to watch TV during the day, so you’ll give those other shows a shot.
You have a lot of channels to try out and while it may not be your first choice, you know there’s plenty of programming out there.
A Good Cry
It’s sad for 15% of you who plan to just cry and get depressed. Hopefully you have some of your favorite episodes recorded like DAYS’ Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope’s (Kristian Alfonso) or GH’s Luke (Tony Geary) and Laura (Genie Francis) classic weddings.
Up in the Air
Still, 4% felt the need to write in your own thoughts – like perhaps you’ll read that book you’ve been meaning to finish. Others figure you’ll be able to catch up on those Netflix shows you’ve been dying to binge watch.
