Which Recent Storyline is Daytime’s Most Shocking?

Daytime is gearing up for another exciting sweeps month, which means soap fans will get several shocking storylines!

All the soaps, including General Hospital (GH), The Young and the Restless (YR), Days of Our Lives (DOOL), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), will bring viewers some of the most unexpected storylines!

Drama for DAYS in Salem!
While the Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and Scooter (Robb Derringer) storyline is certainly shocking, nothing tops the drama of Abby (Marci Miller) and Chad’s (Billy Flynn) wedding vowel renewal that wasn’t! Fans just didn’t expect THIS from Abby’s long-awaited return!

After all the build-up of Abby’s return just as Chad and Gabi’s (Camilla Banus) relationship started growing, it ended with Abby walking out of the DiMera mansion.

What will this mean for Chad and Abby, Chad and Gabi, Gabi and Eli (Lamon Archey), and Abby and Dario (Jordi Vilasuso)? There’s no telling how things will look a month or two down the road!

Is it Twins or Not in Port Charles?
A possible shocking twist on GH is something that a lot of fans had no idea about. For a while, Finola Hughes took her talents to now-defunct soap All My Children.

During some of her her time there, she portrayed Anna’s previously unknown twin sister Alexandra Devane (she also portrayed Anna in Pine Valley). However, those who didn’t tune into AMC had no idea.

Now, something seems fishy in Port Charles. Anna is acting incredibly out of character causing many fans wonder: Is this Anna’s twin? We shall soon find out.

All New Couples in Genoa City
Right now, the residents of GC are obviously preparing for spring. It seems nearly everybody is trying somebody new.

Ashley (Eileen Davidson) is with the much younger Ravi (Abhi Sinha), Scott (Daniel Hall) is shaking things up on the dating scene, and Devon (Bryton James) is moving past Hilary (Mishael Morgan) with Mariah (Cameron Grimes).

Perhaps one of the most unexpected very recent storylines involves Billy (Jason Thompson) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni).

Recently Billy and Victoria grew closer, but of course, she’s experiencing drama she must keep from Billy about her dad’s role in Adam’s death.

Then, there’s Phyllis who recently had an interrupted moment of passion with Scott. So somehow that leads to…another Phyllis and Billy hookup?!?! Fans were NOT expecting to see these two again — although, they’ve clearly had some sexual tension for months.

Lovers Scorned Leads to a Fashion WAR!
In LA, Thomas Forrester (Pierson Fode) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) really started to fall for each other.

However, all the time, Sally was playing Thomas despite her growing feelings for him. A recent Spectra fashion show left him shocked that she’d stolen his designs. Her betrayal cut him to the bone, and it’s leading to an all out war between Forresters and Spectra.
