Sometimes your favorite soap stars can be just like us — fangirling and waiting for that perfect opportunity to take a snap with a celebrity, and the legendary Tom Cruise was quite the sighting.
When All My Children ended its broadcast run the beloved soap was taping in Los Angeles, but for years the show was produced at an ABC studio in New York across the hall from The View.
Days of Our Lives star Chrishell Hartley recently recalled meeting a famous face who visited the lively talk show!
The actress was prompted to share her anecdote after TV and comic book writer Jose Malina (Agent Carter; Amazing Spider-Man) encouraged industry pals to share positive stories about people who are still with us, noting that tales shouldn’t have to wait until someone is gone, like with Luke Perry’s recent passing.
With that in mind, Hartley (ex-Amanda, AMC) shared a story about the time movie star Tom Cruise visited The View and he stayed and for HOURS to sign autographs and take pictures with every last audience member.
After word got out that he was in the building, Hartley and AMC pals Melissa Claire Egan (ex-Annie; ex-Chelsea, The Young and the Restless) and Denise Vasi (ex-Randi) caught up with the star of Mission: Impossible and Top Gun, who posed for a photo with the trio of Pine Valley beauties!
“True story,” posted Egan. “He was so nice!”
